Is EduDoorstep free for students and parents?

Yes. Posting a tuition requirement and browsing tutors is completely free for students and parents. You never pay EduDoorstep any fee.

How quickly will a tutor contact me?

Most requirements receive a response within an hour. Verified tutors matching your subject, class and area are notified as soon as you post.

What is the difference between Regular, Quick and Special tutors?

A Regular Tutor takes ongoing classes following the school curriculum. A Quick Tutor is for urgent needs such as exam preparation, revision or immediate doubt solving. A Special Tutor is trained to teach children with special needs.

Can I choose between home and online tuition?

Yes. When you post your requirement you can choose Fully Online, Fully Offline or Hybrid, and we match you accordingly.

How do I know a tutor is genuine?

Every tutor completes identity verification with Aadhaar and PAN before their profile goes live, and each profile shows qualifications, experience and student ratings.

What if I am not happy with the tutor?

Tell us and we will help you find a better match. You can also raise a complaint or rate the tutor from your dashboard.

How much does it cost to join as a tutor?

Registration is completely free. You only pay when you want to unlock a student contact, using credits.

How does the credit system work?

One credit unlocks one student contact. Credit packs start at Rs 500 for 5 contacts. Once you unlock a lead it stays unlocked for you forever, and you are never charged twice for the same student.

Why do you need my Aadhaar and PAN?

Parents trust EduDoorstep because every tutor is verified. Your documents are stored privately, used only for verification, and are never shown on your public profile.

Can a coaching institute register?

Yes. Institutes can register free, create accounts for their teachers, assign subjects and classes to each teacher, and share one credit pool across the team.
